How to setup a Linux VPS and access it from Windows

Hi there , after seeing a lot of people having trouble starting with the vps I have decided to basically make a step by step tutorial in which we install a desktop environment for a ubuntu vps , we install chromium , firefox and flash in order to run any te without problems.

WHAT YOU NEED:

Setting up your VPS for the complete installation

apt-get update
apt-get upgrade

installing Kubuntu Desktop

apt-get install kubuntu-desktop

installing xrdp (this is the software which let’s us connect to the vps)

apt-get install xrdp

install firefox , chromium and flash plugin

apt-get install firefox
apt-get install chromium-browser
apt-get install flashplugin-installer

And that’s all there is to it , now you can access your vps from you windows machine and run both firefox and chromium without any issues because flash is also installed on firefox. I hope this tutorial was helpful.
P.S. If your vps is a bit slow try apt-get install lxde-core instead of kubuntu , this is a very lightweight desktop environment which uses about 35mb RAM.
